(Yesterday) -- John Hopkins CSSE is reporting 21,581,749 cases of COVID-19 in the US as of 5:00 AM, January 8, 2021.

That's 288,678 new  cases compared to yesterday's 276,714 new cases.  3,587 Americans died from COVID-19 yesterday.
