(Yesterday) -- John Hopkins CSSE is reporting 20,823,341 cases of COVID-19 in the US as of 5:00 AM, January 5, 2021.

That's 227,368 new  cases compared to yesterday's 184,124 new cases.  3,756 Americans died from COVID-19 yesterday.
