Complaint Department
I have received a complaint: I haven't been keeping to my schedule of one picture per day. My apologies. I will try to do better.
But I have one of my own. If you'll take note of the data I always include with my photos, you'll notice this is a 300mm shot — the maximum for the lens I use. And you can't help but notice there are trees creeping into the I-can't-get-a-narrower view. (Yes, there are trees just out of the left side of the frame too.)
Words matter. "Overlook: a place from which one may look down on a scene below" or "afford a view of". It doesn't say to afford a view through the trees.
Between the multiple trees growing into the view and the developers busy destroying what view there is, it's gettin' tougher and tougher to make a nice, pleasant landscape picture of the sunrise.
But if y'all know of another place in Huntsville, AL with an unobstructed view to the east and that is open to the public at 4:30AM, I'll be glad to start taking pictures there.
There were zero clouds this morning (no clouds = no colors) but there was some nice valley fog — in the places I could see. From the overlook at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
