A Peony After Rain

The peonies at the Monte Sano State Park welcome sign bowed down to the stone walls after the rain the other morning.  The heavy clouds and fog acted as nature's softbox, providing a perfect light for the white peonies against the dark walls.

It's been a while since I said it, so I'll say it again.  If you can only carry one lens, this Nikon 18-300mm is hard to beat.  There are a lot of other lenses I'd rather be using, but none I'd rather carry.  It's become so indispensable to me that I bought another one so I'd have a spare.  (The old one needs to go to the shop for cleaning.)  I was looking at Nikon's Z-series the other day (I'm not crazy about the last-of-the-line DSLR Nikon D7500) to see if the Z-series has a similar lens.  I didn't see one.
