Down On His Level
This squirrel found paradise in the parking lot of the overlook at Monte Sano State Park. I could tell there was a stain on the ground but I couldn't tell you what it was. Maybe the squirrel equivalent of catnip. He couldn't leave it alone. I thought he'd lick his tongue raw, just licking the asphalt.
Oh well. Whatever it was, it was worth coming real close to me and the tripod. I even had time to take the big lens off the tripod and get down on his level — laying in the middle of the parking lot. I guess that makes us both nuts.
