Day One -- Huntsville
I had visions of starting a diary of my settling in at my new home in Huntsville.
Pack scissors (or a knife), tape (masking, painter's whatever you like to work with) and a black marker if you move. On your person. Don't share them with anybody. Just trust me on this.
I met more people in this neighborhood in a day than I did in 10 years in my old one. A rocket engineer hooked up my washer for me. The dryer needs a different plug. The guy next door is a GA pilot. Some young guy walking with his family said if I need any help just holler. Old friends just showed up out of nowhere. They decided they would go camping and they "just happened" to pick Huntsville. They unpacked a dozen boxes, hung clothes, swept and bought dinner. I didn't know we had Space Camping but apparently we do. It's been a good first day.
I'm so tired I'm writing this trying to work up enough energy to take a shower and go to bed. I woke up at 3:30AM and this is the 3rd day in a row I didn't get my nap. Say goodnight, Gracie.
