(Yesterday) -- John Hopkins CSSE is reporting 28,827,140 cases of COVID-19 in the US as of 5:00 AM, March 5, 2021.

That's 67,647 new cases compared to yesterday's 66,186 new cases. 2,520 Americans died from COVID-19 yesterday.
