(Yesterday) -- John Hopkins CSSE is reporting 7,233,946 cases of COVID-19 in the US as of 5:00 AM, October 1, 2020.

That's 44,438 new cases compared to yesterday's 42,884 new cases. 849 Americans died from COVID-19 yesterday.
