Daffodils In January

A decade or so ago, I started planting daffodils all around my yard (carved out of a hardwood forest). And every year they bloom earlier.  This was taken on January 17th after at least a week of extraordinarily warm weather. (It was 60º+ for at least 7 days in a row with a high of 70ºF on January 15th.)  I currently have about 3 dozen daffodils flowering and dozens more poking through the fallen leaves.
