Moss & Fall

The creek is so small I don't think it has a name.  It comes out of Cold Spring on Monte Sano so Cold Spring Creek, I suppose.  Anyway, this section is below the parking spaces on Bankhead Parkway where it turns into Fearn Street.  (Huntsville has a quirk about changing a street's name at a random  intersection.)  You can tell which rock faces north by the moss. 

It was foggy and misting so I didn't even pull the camera out at the overlook.  I spent the morning photographing the little cascades along this creek.  If you want to do the same, be sure to take a big zig-zag along the steeps slopes so you don't create a erosion problem by going straight up and down  the slope (like so many people do).
