Winter on the Wildflower Trail
I couldn't face another foggy morning on the Bankhead Trail so I came off the mountain, back into town and hiked up the Wildflower Trail. That's right, this thing starts in a well-established neighborhood of Huntsville, Alabama.
I was actually chasing waterfalls (you can see a glimpse of Fagan Creek on the left) but there's something oddly compelling about this picture of the trail. Yes, that is the trail winding through the rocks.
