Who Needs Mountains?
There was a spectacular sky waiting for me when I got to Monte Sano State Park's overlook this morning. Because of the location of the Sun and the intensity of the light, all the mountains in the foreground faded to black and all I had was a straight line for a horizon. But with a sky like this, who needs mountains?
That's the town of Gurley, Alabama in the foreground. This was 50 minutes before sunrise.
