Bird Brains
I kept seeing birds drop from the trees onto the pavement at the overlook on Monte Sano, where I take pictures of the sunrise most mornings. It was a nice sunny morning so I pulled out the big lens to see what I could see.
They are eating the acorns that cars have (conveniently) smashed open for them. This is a tufted titmouse about to fly off with a piece. The nuthatches appear to eat them while they're still on the ground.
