Poof! Of Life
It's been days since I've had a new picture to put up — nasty, nasty weather. Blowing rain/mist every morning. But at least I'm in The South and haven't had to contend with the snow, ice and freezing cold everyone else has had. (Yet.) Anyway, I thought I needed to offer proof of life.
As I was looking through the archives for decent pictures I haven't posted, I came across this one and it hit me. I'll never see this view again. I've always loved how the wooden floor in the center aisle glows at St. George's. If you're there at sunrise or sunset to see it. But most people aren't. The carpet on the altar needed replacing so, while the were at it, they decided to carpet the center aisle too. It looks nice. And it's much quieter. But as any older photographer knows, get the picture while you can because one day you'll look up and Poof! it will be gone.
