First Daffodil -- 2021
It's that time of year when I get so offer my Northern friends a ray of hope. Winter will end. It got down to 28ºF here last night. And it's been a consistently cold winter. But this daffodil has been in bloom about 3 days now. And you can see the lenten rose is blooming behind it.
It was actually a tie this year. Two of the daffodils bloomed at the same time but I couldn't come up with a composition that worked with both. There are dozens more, ready to pop. It's one of the best things I ever did in my yard. I've planted hundreds of daffodils all over the yard. I planted another hundred or so this Fall. I look forward to sharing them with you. And the generations to come.
