Butterfly Rodeo
Who knew? It turns out my rodeo gear is pretty good for photographing butterflies. I have a kind of azaleas known as Encore™. They bloom twice a year. Spring and Fall. (Pretty but weird.) The butterflies love them.

I bought this arm-thing that fits on my tripod head (an Induro BHD-3) that turns the whole thing into a gimbal head. You know, those heads with a swivel you see bird photographers with so they can swing the big lenses to and fro. If you're going to shoot rodeo with a tripod (thought nobody but me) it works pretty well. Ditto for butterflies.
