A New Trend
I've been surprised by the sunrise about three different times this week. Maybe it's a new trend. As most of you know, I walk laps across the dam while I'm waiting for the sunrise every day. I tell myself it's so I'll stay in shape and be able to hike in a mile (and back out) to take pictures when I travel. (Assuming I ever get to do that again.)
Anyway, I try to do a mile before sunrise, take pictures while the colors are pretty and then do another mile (or more) after sunrise. If anything is going to happen (color-wise) it happens before sunrise. So, right after sunrise, I start walking again. I'll stop and take a sunstar picture if it's clear but for me, the action is always before sunrise.
So I was surprised to see this during my post-sunrise laps. The time stamp says it was 18 minutes after sunrise.
