Pike County Forecast -- March 6, 2020
I haven't even left the Bledsoe Farm page and it's already interesting.
44ºF, relative humidity 100% and a wind gust of 11 mph. What's that equate to, blowing fog? Definitely cold and damp. Let's see what else we can find out.
Huh. The forecast page doesn't mention fog. But there is a Wind Advisory. Pay attention here: Later in the day, winds up to 35 mph. You can read the weather for Hampton on that page (no fog) if you'd like but I'm moving on to the forecast discussion.
A quick check of the surface map (what's that? Snow in Asheville?). Nothing.
And we have a forecast.
Clearing clouds and fog (in some areas) leaving us with Sunny but Cold skies. We'll go from 44ºF to 55ºF but due to increasing winds, it probably won't feel warm. An extra note of caution about the winds. It's the usual 10-15 mph with gusts to 20 until later in the day it is gusts to 35 mph. That will help dry us out but it might blow over a few trees in our saturated soils. Y'all be careful.
