A Couple of Sips
I had to wait two hours but one of the bald eagles at Madison County Lake finally came close enough for a decent picture. The light was beautiful. About 40 minutes before sunset. Unfortunately, she/he wasn't in it. But the woods and the water look nice. It just came down for a couple of sips of water and then went back to sitting in a tree.
I still don't have the patience to photograph birds but being able to sit on a nice, quiet lake makes it a lot easier. And after never seeing a bald eagle until I was an adult, it's still a thrill when one of them comes so close
