A Picture's Worth a Thousand Lives
Just a quick and dirty comparison of some "Daily Cases" graphs from the John Hopkins CSSE site. (Lower right side of their home page. Click on the "Daily Cases" button.)
Untied State of America
Untied State of America
The United Kingdom
Italy
What caught my attention was that the US had it's lowest number of daily cases (since the pandemic got going) on June 8, 2020. And by "lowest" I mean 17,500.
On June 10th, the United Kingdom had their lowest number of cases (I can't explain the missing day) at (roughly) 1,000 cases. On June 10th, Italy had 202 cases. (They've had days with less.)
I hope this will spark your curiosity and you'll take a look at some graphs yourself. Each country's is unique. But the United States of America is more "unique" than the other industrialized countries.
